Day after day I agonize about what to wear. My postpartum, breastfeeding body is simply not cooperating. After much gnashing of teeth and rending of garments I pull something on and head out with my two little candies. Upon arrival at whatever toddler class or errand stop we have on the sked, it hits me. It matters not what I wear, as I will be wearing an arm candy! Who cares if my sweater looks a bit full on top, the most eye-catching thing I have is my little one, snug in my amazing Pikkolo carrier, by Catbird Baby.
Baby-wearing has taken off and the possibilities are endless, way beyond the traditional Baby Bjorn and Ergo carriers. There are Mei Tai’s, Ring Slings, the Beco and the Action Baby Carrier, just to name a few of my favorites. You can choose prints or solids, brights or neutrals. For me, it is all about keeping my little one close and still having two hands to play with my toddler. When the little one is grumpy, all I have to do is begin buckling the carrier on and she calms down knowing that soon she will be cozy and close. One of the most difficult aspects of parenting multiple children is meeting everyone’s needs and these carriers make it just a bit easier.
