Month of the Spider

9 Oct

One word:  arachnophobia.  No, I’m not referring to the 1990 horror film starring Jeff Daniels and John Goodman.  Although, by the number of spiders surrounding my house during the last few weeks, I could be starring in the film.  I’m referring to the month of October and the little arachnids that seem to be popping up everywhere.  It’s as if they know October is their month to shine.

I have never been a fan of spiders.  (Picture Dr. Bailey discovering the spider on this week’s episode of Grey’s)  However, I am trying not to pass my arachnophobia down to my children.  Therefore, I am embracing the month of the spider with a few timeless favorites that include:  Little Miss Muffet and the Itsy Bitsy Spider.
